Victor Image Processing Library How-to Tips
Pseudocolor, a VB Sample Application to Apply a New Color Scheme to an Image
Pseudocolor is a VB6 application that demonstrates the Victor Library functions to:
- load an image from bmp, gif, jpeg, png, or tiff image file
- display an image in a VB picture box
- convert an image to grayscale
- create a new palette for an image
With this app you can experiment with the creation of palettes to enhance the
viewing of images for analysis, diagnosis, or interesting visual effects
like sepia prints or photographic duotones.
The pseudocolor images are generated by creating a color lookup table (LUT) and using
the pixel grayscale intensity values as indexes into the LUT.
